The Last Summer Month is Not the Last One for Having Fun

August 2021 Newsletter by Gameful Life

It’s been some time since the June Newsletter here at Gameful Life. In June, we wondered how summer 2021 might occur, and now it is almost gone, according to the calendar. Hardly two days more, and the first month of Fall 2021 will officially begin.

During these summer holidays, I again had some epiphanies and discoveries about myself. Just like during the winter holidays, I had a cooldown phase, where I wrote, published, and worked much, much less than I did before, but read more of what I love reading most and spent more time with people I love most. And I continued playing my life as if it was my favorite collection of games.

New book

One of my favorite self-motivational games nowadays is the Super Sleeper game, a healthy habit of getting enough sleep turned into a fun strategic game with cool titles, streak points, various jokers, and since recently, the ability to get gemstones while sleeping.

This game is the star of my newest book called Gameful Habits: How to Turn Your Daily Practices into Fun Games. It is Book 7 in a collection of standalone books called “Gameful Life.”

New publications

In the June newsletter, I shared with you that I created two publications in addition to Gameful Life. These were Cheerleading for Writers and On Self-Publishing. I didn’t stop at that and added two more. These have to do with gamification, gameful life, and self-gamification. They are:

Gameful Fiction offers parables (fictional stories, some of which are at least partially based on true experiences and stories) featuring turning life into fun games in various situations. You can already read my parable Gameful Writing there shared one section of each chapter at a time. Self-Gamifying Business is about supporting businesses in their understanding of bringing games and play into their operations and how they can profit from establishing a self-gamification culture for themselves, their customers, and partners.

New project

Shortly after the summer holidays, I launched a new project called Motivational University. It is a growing collection of on-demand videos, with the help of which you can learn how you can motivate yourself in effortless and fun ways.

You can watch this video on YouTube to find out what this project is about.

Articles since the last Newsletter

And last but not least, here are the friend links to all articles that saw the light since the June Newsletter by Gameful Life. These five story digests are sorted with the newest published story first for each of the five publications mentioned above.
