Choosing a new game to buy or play these days is about as difficult as selecting the right movie to watch on Netflix on the fly for family movie night. With all the new trailers, commercials, spoiler videos, and insider scoops, it can get daunting to pull the trigger on a new game. Thankfully, we did the research for you to narrow down your choices to these 2 awesome options. Check them out and let us know which one(s) you’re going to pick up when they drop!

Far Cry New Dawn

Far Cry has come a long way from its humble beginnings in 2004. New Dawn is the 13th game release of the Far Cry franchise and features open-world gunplay in a cult-riddled landscape that is set 17 years following the end of its prequel: Far Cry 5. Following the nuclear exchange that left the world in shambles, a group of survivors attempt to rebuild the community in Hope County after a nuclear winter. Players will play as a new character whose gender and race can be customized.

You’ll set of on Expeditions that will transport you by helicopter outside of Montana and into other states such as Arizona, California, and Louisiana. Once you finish an expedition by liberating the settlement, you can fast track to that settlement in the future. As you progress through the game, you’ll also be able to upgrade your home base “Prosperity” with customer features (and vehicles too).

Release Date: February 15th

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

Star Wars fans have been riding high on a sea of movie franchise sequels, theme park expansions, and TV animated series ever since Disney bought the rights to the Star Wars universe back in 2012 for a cool $4 billion cash. After Star Wars Battlefront 2 released to gut wrenching news of its horrendous microtransactions controversy, gamers and producers alike have been gunning for a Star Wars redemption game. Developed by the team at Respawn (makers of TitanFall 1 and 2), Jedi Fallen Order tells an original Star Wars story around a surviving Padawan set shortly after the events of Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith.

This singleplayer-only game is different from the normal Respawn games which are predominantly multi-player, but is par for the course when it comes to the core Star Wars: Jedi game franchise. Lightsaber duels are definitel going to be a big feature (and why wouldn’t it be?) with recent leaks telling us that characters from the comics will be coming into the game’s story as well. Gaming enthusiasts have high hopes for this game and the sequels that might follow.

Release Date: Q4 2019
