ALL NEW BLACKOUT- Call of Duty’s Battleroyale

Battleroyale is the latest gaming wave. PUBG and Fortnite have set the bar in this genre of video games. For the first time in the history of Call of Duty, a battleroyale mode is involved. The beta was released for gamers to test their hands on. It was initially launched exclusively to Playstation 4 users, it’ll be rolled out on Xbox and Windows platforms on Friday.

The game features a huge map, with map locations from previous call of duty games, like Nuketown.

Just like PUBG, you drop onto the map with nothing in your inventory. Weapons, Amor, Health and additional items are easy to find after searching through buildings. The game is fast paced just like like any traditional call of duty game, so it’s not difficult adapting.

The safe zone indicates where the player must be as the map shrinks. Helicopters, Trucks and ATV’s are available for use by all players, which are very easy to control. The amount of damage you take before dying is realistic and makes sense. You could be revived by a team mate when you’re crawling after taking heavy damage. It is quite noticeable that playing behind barriers is a good way to stay alive, staying in the open is not the best decision to make.

The game runs amazingly on the PlayStation 4 and even better on the PlayStation 4 Pro. It hovers around a 60 frames per second rate. Movement is great and feels smooth. Aiming and shooting feels exactly like a typical call of duty game.

What Could Be Done To Improve The Game- my opinion.

The sound of footsteps and particularly the ATV is too high and could be heard from a mile away.

Footsteps should be minimally reduced while the sound of the ATV should reduced and heard at a more proximate distance.
