The term “creative” is used to refer to a specific group of people; teams with a particular skill set who often set apart, literally and figuratively, from the rest of their organisation. But when a pandemic rolled in, forcing all of us into digital spaces to work and play, “creative” took on a much larger meaning.

People who never went to design school or drafted a creative brief became more comfortable being their authentic selves online. Unknown amateur chefs began sharing their passion for cooking on YouTube and discovered a global audience hungry for more. Gamers live-streamed their adventures to thousands — sometimes millions — of rapt fans. In myriad new ways and spaces, everyday people started sharing their stories, and some even partnered with brands to become powerful co-storytellers.

We’re at the cusp of a critical juncture; one where design is poised to become the last unfair advantage. This is where our values, as Gameskraft, come into play. This is where they guide our actions and vision as we design to serve our players needs better and in the process create simplified and functional design solutions for them.

Be Bold

Playing it safe is the riskiest strategy in a rapidly evolving world. Our boldness distinguishes the memorable from the mundane where we are all about daring to reimagine, pushing boundaries, and making quantum leaps. Being bold isn’t just about creating the new; it’s also about revolutionising the ordinary.

History is made by those who dare to look foolish in the pursuit of the extraordinary.

In our day-to-day design tasks, this means proposing radical ideas, no matter how outlandish or unfeasible, to push the boundaries of current gaming trends and player expectations.

Customer Obsessed

The customer is our North Star. Every design decision, every innovation starts and ends with the question: does this serve the customer better?
We believe that this obsession is more than caring for our players, it’s a pursuit to understand and exceed their expectations, to embed their desires and feedback into the very fabric of the experiences we create.

Bias for Action

Action is the antidote to uncertainty. In our industry, the cost of inaction often surpasses the risks of making the wrong move. Bias for action signifies a preference for prototyping over pondering, for iterating over idling. It’s about building a culture where quick, decisive actions drive success and entertainment for our players.

Collaboration

Great ideas don’t exist in silos. Collaboration is the alchemy that transforms individual talents into collective genius. It’s about breaking down barriers, merging diverse perspectives, and creating a symphony of creativity and innovation. We believe that great products are the result of collaborative efforts, where every individual’s skills are valued equally and contribute to the collective success.

Ownership

At Gameskraft, ownership is a personal investment. It means treating projects not as tasks assigned to you but as missions you choose to embark upon. Ownership implies a commitment to excellence, a commitment to navigating the ship through calm seas and tempests alike. It’s about accountability through successes and failures.

Raise the Bar

Complacency is the enemy of greatness. Raising the bar is a perpetual challenge to outdo ourselves, and to set new benchmarks in innovation, user experience, and design aesthetics. We are driven by the belief that no matter how good your last game was, the next one can always be better.

As we manoeuvre the ever-changing digital landscape, our journey at Gameskraft is illuminated by our core values and a profound belief in the transformative power of creativity.

This era marks a pivotal chapter in the grand narrative of human connection and expression through gaming. It underscores a universal truth: creativity is a dynamic force within us all, waiting for the perfect moment to emerge and redefine the world. Good Design is a good business whereas great design comes from a deep understanding of the problem.

At Gameskraft, we’re not just creating games; we’re crafting missions that matter.

We are leading the charge into a future where games transcend play to become immersive experiences, a future where every boundary is an opportunity and every player becomes a storyteller in this epic journey. The foundational software infrastructure has undergone commoditisation to such an extent that innovation predominantly thrives at the intersection with end users. Notably within the consumer internet realm, where software costs are virtually nonexistent, design has emerged as the pivotal differentiator, how things look and work is now what makes them stand out.
