Meet the Team: Kafayat Obanigba

Kafayat, also known as Crypto Kaffy, is the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) of GameStation. She acts as an interface between GameStation, the investor community, and gaming projects. This includes vetting projects, hosting interviews with the investor community, and assisting with the mechanics of a project’s fundraising. In addition, she creates content, implements marketing initiatives, and supports community management. GamerGirl managed to find some time in her busy schedule to ask her all about GameStation.

Tell us a bit about your background. Why did you want to become a part of GameStation?

Before embarking on my career in crypto, I did a marketing degree, which was amazing! After that, I went into the world of modelling, which was so exciting! I got to a lot of international shoots, got to travel the world, and I loved it. When covid struck, it completely changed the game for creatives. I was left at home figuring out what I wanted to do next. My sister and I met an amazing guy who told us all about online and affiliate marketing. We were very successful in that space. We launched five courses as well as some web courses. The same guy then told us about cryptocurrency and once I heard about it, well, my life was never the same! Absolutely loved it. It was an honour to then be approached by GameStation and asked if I wanted to be a part of it. No two days are the same, which I love. The whole Play-to-Earn space is massive and still growing, so working with a dedicated, innovative team and an amazing community is just sensational.

Community is a vital part of GameStation. How does the team foster a great environment for users?

Here at GameStation, we’re so fortunate to have such amazing community moderators. They are proactive, have initiative, and are approachable. They create an amazing space for the whole GameStation community, learning what they want and what they need. Once they’ve gathered that sort of information, they pass it over to the team and it allows us to do really great things. It makes it easy for us to keep in touch and implement their opinions in our campaigns. We’re like a little family, which is beautiful.

GameStation is a multi-chain community-oriented gaming incubator and launchpad. We are adding a gamification layer to the launchpad to make it easier and more fun for gamers to participate and invest in innovative games. GameStation will also allow users access to an NFT marketplace where they can buy and sell in-game items easily. Finally, the community is at the center of GameStation, and gamers will have the opportunity to create social events and tournaments.
