The Interactions Pack in Unreal is an extremely useful set of assets. It’s a collection of Blueprints that amount to a series of general interactions that you can see in many different games of all kinds.

The kit has a ton of variations on different interactions, letting you see the different effects and chains reactions you can set up by putting them together properly.

The pack is stuffed with content in all the best ways. The meshes and whatnot are not the important part but they ARE there so if you find them useful, by all means have at them.

Everything in the scene is set up and ready to be used with all the proper controls attached to the correct parts of the blueprints.

In the gif below you can see me turning a flame jet on and off. This is but a simple example that is included with the pack. It should be feasible for anyone who has some Blueprint experience to mix and match the different interactions provided.

I definitely would suggest this as the sheer amount of useful Blueprints that are provided ease up on the need to create annoying or difficult Blueprint scripts .

Some Pros to force your hand

  • Free
  • Educational, tearing the BluePrints apart will be a teaching moment for sure.
  • Useful and often used interactions make this useful for any level of a project.

Some cons to take away.

  • It may be more difficult to affect or change the interaction without some prior knowledge
