There is a lot to fall in love with when it comes to Alexander Preuss’ body of work. He has a mastery of the the sense of majesty and scale that really nails an epic science fiction scene. Taking the Lead on games like Everspace 2 and X4 really showcases his abilities to not only model but to consider where different pieces fit in a scene to create the best ambience and really nail the best of “Space Opera” like imagery.

In short, top ten ways to my heart are some beautiful space ships sitting in front of some epic galactic imagery. Remember that for Valentines Day everyone.

He has worked on the X4 series for several years, working up from Senior Artist to Art Director during his time at Egosoft. He is currently working as a Lead Artist at Rockfish Games where he has worked on Everspace 2, solidifying his place as a master of Science Fiction hard surface modeling and scene building. It seems like he is moving on from there this month though so it is pretty exciting to see where he ends up.

Alexander is currently open for Freelance opportunities! So if you have ships to build or scenes to concept out with some incredibly Kit-bashing and modeling skills I think he is definitely someone you should be looking up.
