As an artist with a hefty list of credit and history within the industry, Ben Andrews has been creating concept art for over a decade and it shows. His earliest work credit is from Dear Esther by The Chinese Room, definitely an auspicious start. His most recent work has helped bring Cyberpunk 2077 to life, bringing an awesome level or realism to ultimately fantastical science fiction designs like with the Militech Basilisk above. An attention to detail regarding how objects and vehicles operate that do not have 1:1 analogs for reference is going to make the end result 100% more believable.

So many of his designs through the years are beautifully sleek imaginings of technology that feels so far off yet tantalizingly right around the corner. His personal work has always been firmly in the realm of science fiction, cyberpunk and hyperreal. Ben’s mastery of this theme is clearly held in high regard as he has worked his way from Concept Artist and Designer to Associate Art Director at CD Project Red.

Can’t wait to see some more updates from his personal work, he really has not updated his portfolio to reflect anything but his most recent work from Cyberpunk 2077 and honestly that is plenty to dig into. I would love to see where his own style has evolved and what themes HE wants to explore with this amazing artwork.
