One of the gold standards of illustration has always been the beautiful work that goes into Magic: The Gathering card art. Martina Fačková easily steps up to the plate to match the beautiful work of her peers at Wizards of the Coast with her own art.
She is a highly awarded artist whose work has also been featured on the covers of books, where her primary focus on characters shines in scenes rich with detail, expression and glorious emotion.
Martina has been working as a freelancer for over four years, navigating an industry that can be very difficult to find a foothold in while continuously excelling above and beyond in her art. Networking across the Card and general RPG industry can be a harrowing experience but the connections you can make and the experiences you can have must be incredible. She has work with Wise Wizard Games, Talsorian Games as well as book covers at TOR.
Now that I have done a bit of a deep dive into her work, I am definitely on the lookout for where else it might crop up, be it a book cover seen at a glance or a new deck of cards shown off among friends.
