Florent Desailly is a Creature Crafter and Miniature Modeler Extraordinaire
Advancing into the next obvious step of character concept, Florent creates awesome creatures that in some cases are ready to print or built to BE printed.
I am a sucker for some great creature design and Florent Desailly definitely offers the cream of the crop when it comes to that. They somehow manage to make Demogorgon make sense and that is a task in and of itself, all without sacrificing its absolute chaos born otherness. Their concept work is delightful, from the D&D based designs they make for Lord of the Print to the cool Dinotopia designs they have a lot to offer for both imaginative motivation and 3D printing.
Some of their most public work can be found in EkoSoftwares 2019 game, Chaosbane where they added creature crafting skills to develop some awesome Warhammer Fantasy monstrosities.
Doing deep dives into these artists and seeing new things, creating new ideas and providing the motivation I need to explore my own concepts is really what these articles are all about. Being able to share these awesome artist with you is just one of the awesome side benefits of doing so.
