A few weeks back I showed off a really nice HDRI and Skybox kit made by the Unity team, this week I am going to show you another free skybox pack for a more low poly look.

The shaders are built to be a bit more mutable so instead of a bunch of skyboxes there are a few that you can manipulate more.

The pack is not very large, in terms of size it is far smaller than the pack put together by Unity.

That said the skybox is quite nice, it has a phenomenal color gradiation at the horizon and fits a stylized theme very well. it also comes with some Low Poly assets that are generic enough to actually be useful in broad sense.

The skybox has a few controls that make it fun to play around with and incredibly useful including rotation and color tint helping you make a unique look for your game and scene.

You know what you’re getting with this small kit. A Skybox with decent controls and some assets that you could use as well. The Shader included is a solid Amplify built shader, so if you have Amplify you can edit it to your needs.

Some Pros to force your hand

  • Its free
  • The skybox has good controls.
  • Includes some free assets.

Some cons to take away.

  • Not as large as the Unity skybox kit.
