Richard Court is the Whole Environment Artist Package

Richard Court has spent his relatively short time in the industry incredibly well, his skillset includes texture creation, modelling, sculpting and a fine touch at putting together believable and artistically beautiful environments. Being somewhat of a texture artist myself, I love seeing what would normally be a “generalist” (not that being that is a bad thing, that’s more where I fall into if I am being honest) actually take the varied portions of their skillset and fine tune them to near master levels.

His game credits include the beautiful Everyones Gone to the Rapture by The Chinese Room and of course For Honor by Ubisoft. His work in Everyones Gone to the Rapture especially caught my eye. The art focused style of that game really let Richard build amazing environments that look to be an absolute treat to walk through.

Richard currently works as an Environment Artist over at Studio Gobo and I for one am looking forward to any of his updates on what he is working on next.
