Architectural visualization is stepping into the forefront hard in recent years, between AR, VR and just a broader access to things like Unreal Engine and other render and view options; showing off the potential in things has never been easier.

That is not to say that these assets could not be used for a more traditional game project but they are definitely built with visualization and portrayal in mind.

Let’s dive right in and for the record this asset pack was received for free from the developer. I only review packs that I view in a generally favorable light though so I am not sure how much that matters for these breakdowns.

At its price you are looking at getting some very high quality assets, not a bad price point at all as far as I am concerned.

When it comes to a more game oriented project they fall short in a few departments, mainly in that they are built specifically to be clean and relatively simple. For ArchVis this is ideal but you will have to add to them to create any manner of visual story to them.

The kit is well organized and comes with a great breakdown in the material dept. Everything is instanced off of a Master Material and work off of a similar normal. This makes switching maps out and adding new ones relatively easy.

The demo scene is simple but that is all it has to be. Everything translates perfectly well and you can see precisely what you are getting through it. Also how they interact with the lighting.

The tables are UV’ed in such a way that switching out your textures would be pretty easy and I would definitely play around with some of our Woods and Glass for these ones for some interesting results.

For ArchVis this pack comes out of the box ready for precisely what you need it for and is well worth the cost.

It would take some work to make it game ready or game art interesting so to speak but it IS perfectly valid for that usage as well.

Some Pros to force your hand

  • Perfect for set dressing in an Architecturel Visualization scene
  • Well crafted, can easily be coopted to a more game ready setting.
  • Materials are clearly defined and easy to switch around, sub in your own, etc

Some cons to take away.

  • Not ready for game at first blush, no visual story
