Some of the most common interior environments you find in games are warehouses, construction sites and areas like them. The reasons could be myriad, mostly stemming from a lore friendly (in many cases) reasoning why things are being torn up, explored or hidden in. These sites tend to be empty at certain times and are always satisfying to demolish if you are given the chance.

A lot of the props that go into making these settings can get monotonous to build. Great for practicing, not exactly the high flying life your average environment artist or prop created imagined for themselves.

Those looking to create a great scene, flesh out an existing prototype or build up a warehouse level of your own should look into using this!

The Pack is free and with what you get that price tag is incredible. It very much is built to point you towards the rest of the developers packs and the pack is of a quality that I may cover those as well to clarify the value that you can find within those paid packs as well.

The folder hierarchy is refreshing, clean and small. Everything is easy to find and easy to reference.

The materials are fun to mess around with, all of the props are UVed properly and are easy to use and likely easy to amend if you want to add details of your own directly to the UV sheets. I would likely use decals and whatnot to effect any changes.

The materials are all based from a single Base Material, making them pretty lightweight even having them all set in the same scene.

As a base material, the one in the pack is definitely well made. It offers a lot of control to change how it is being shown and most of the things you would like to control or swap out are easy to dictate through an instance of it.

The Meshes are all well made though the LoD are not handmade, the auto generated ones seem to do a pretty great job so I don’t consider this a great negative. It would be a subjective case by case basis on whether this does not work for your purposes or not.

A very well developed pack. It is extremely tight, no extra pieces more then what it needs and it seem to perfectly lead into the rest of the developers catalog.

You can find that here.

They also have a website showcasing some of their joint work on a ton of different games, it is an interesting look here.

Some Pros to force your hand

  • Free
  • Well made with unique UV’s, Base Material and instanced materials.
  • Comes out of the box as efficient as it can be

Some cons to take away.

  • LoD on the meshes are autogenerated, they seem perfectly fine but could introduce complications depending on your use.
