5 Must-Have Benefits for Every Twitch Streamer

You know how important Gameisp subscribers are to your channel, and you want to reward them for getting involved. You also want to make sure that everything you give helps strengthen your community and keep your subscribers excited about coming back month after month. But you might be panicking: “What should I give them?”

Here are 5 benefits that every streamer, regardless of size, game, or personality should be giving to subscribers:

1. Play With Your Fans

If you are streaming on Twitch, chances are you are a gamer. And I’d be willing to bet that your fans are too.

There is no better way to engage your fans than to jump in and blast oncoming aliens, build incredible structures, or lock horns in epic battle together for your whole audience to see. Getting your subscribers involved in what you do isn’t just a great way to get to know them, but also great content for everyone else.

Whether it’s random, or on a subscriber day once a week, every streamer should be giving their subs the chance to be a star on stream.

2. Increased Giveaway Odds

Fans like free stuff.

If you have a sponsor who is willing to give you stuff for fans, or if you have enough subscribers to cover the cost of a monthly giveaway, it’s time to start giving a lucky fan free stuff.

This one requires some care, though. Giveaways are governed by sweepstakes laws, which typically don’t allow you to charge for entry. BUT you can give additional chances to paying subscribers.

So whether you count them twice or five times, make your subs feel special by giving them a solid shot at free stuff.

3. TeamSpeak

Your subscribers want to talk to you. Fascilitating that can be simple.

That light-speed chat-box is proof that the conversation is a big part of what makes this whole streaming thing work. One of the best things you can do is make that easier even when you aren’t streaming.

Whether it’s a TeamSpeak or Mumble Server or a Skype group or Google hangout, you should spend time hanging out with your subs and letting them hang out with each other.

4. Badges/Chat Icons

If you are a Twitch partner, this is a no-brainer. If you have subs, chat icons are a great way for them to show off their identity as a sub in chat.

But even if you aren’t partnered, the ability to identify as a subscriber to your channel and a part of your core community is something every subscriber wants.

Not only do they want you to know how much they love your stream and being a part of your community, they want to let everyone else know as well. Badges or other digital insignia is a great way to let subscribers show their support.

5. Shout-Outs

Sometimes its the simple things that make the most difference.

If your audience is huge, this may not work for you. But while your audience is still small and growing, giving shoutouts and thank you’s on social media, or just a personalized note can go a long way toward making a sub feel recognized and appreciated.

Ultimately, your subs are making an investment in your channel and they want that investment to be appreciated. Showing each one that you have noticed and that you care goes a long way.

Every streamer that is taking subscriptions, whether on Twitch or GameWisp should include at least a few of these in their basic levels. Ideally, you would include all of them, but even just one or two can be enough to motivate fans to subscribe and stay subscribed month after month.
