Integration Spotlight: LachhhTools

The GameWisp dev team has been heads down for quite some time now, building features (emotes, anyone?), improving the GameWisp platform, and generally doing our best to wrangle the everyday chaos that comes with building software.

Every once in awhile, though, it’s important to come up for air and let our users know about the cool things other developers are building. So it’s time, once again, for an integration spotlight.

This time I want to talk about a suite of streamer tools built by the streamer and game dev-extraordinaire, Lachhh. This tool suite, LachhhTools, is an app for streamers that want high quality and fully customizable alerts for Twitch. If you’ve ever watched Lachhh’s stream, you’ll know that his alerts have an extremely over-the-top-in-your-face style that is quick to grab attention. Just check out his new subscriber alert…

Nothing like a digital punch the face, am I right?

Lachhh has used this suite of custom alert tools to provide highly customized, unique, and eye-catching alerts to his own stream. For quite some time, though, he’s been working hard to release his toolset to the public so other streamers can make use of them. Recently, he has released a version of his alert tools to the general public, appropriately named LachhhTools.

Who Should use LachhhTools?

LachhhTools provides support for giveaways, follows, new and resubscribers, hosts, cheers, and donations (from StreamTip and StreamLabs) and easily integrates with OBS and XSplit. Users can take advantage of a set of default alerts or create their own using Animate CC (.swf) files. And herein lies the most powerful aspect of LachhhTools: if you’re a streamer with the skill to create engaging animations using Animate CC, you now have a dead simple way to apply that skill toward engaging on-screen alerts. LachhhTools can do all the programming-related heavy lifting for you and just let you (or a designer) focus on creating amazing animations for your on-screen alerts. Don’t take my word for it, just check out the default giveaway animations.

Okay…so where does GameWisp come in?

Unlike developers that have incorporated our APIs to provide a service to end users directly, Lachhh uses GameWisp to support the development of LachhhTools. LachhhTools is free to use, but currently contains ads for games he’s working on and streams the development of on his channel. Subscribers to his GameWisp channel have these ads removed as well as being recognized as supporters of LachhhTools within the app itself. Like so:

GameWisp subscribers are added to the LachhTools hall of fame.

In the future LachhhTools may work to incorporate the GameWisp API more deeply to provide GameWisp subscriber and resubscriber alerts. In the meantime, however, LachhTools leverages GameWisp to support LachhhTools while also providing benefits within the app to the tools’ GameWisp subscribers.

How do I Find out More?

The fastest way to check out LachhhTools is to download it and give it a try. If you’re a designer/animator, you can browse the application’s install directory to find example animation files for use in creating your own custom animations.

If you’re curious to discuss LachhhTools in more detail, you can head over to the LachhhTools Discord channel to get more information.
