Your GameWisp Twitch Affiliate Tier is Live! Here’s How It Works…
After announcing it last week, we’re excited to reveal that the Twitch Affiliate integration with GameWisp is live and ready to go! We’ve been thrilled to see how much excitement and enthusiasm you all have for the release of this new feature, and can’t wait to see you all put it to good use. Still, since we revealed the new integration, we’ve also seen a lot of confusion out there about just what it is and how it works.
I’m here to fix that!
Let’s take some time to answer some of the most common questions we’ve recieved about the new Affiliate subscriber tier, and we’ll make sure everyone is as prepared as possible to use it to enhance their stream and community. ’Cause we’re cool like that. So, without further ado…
What is the Twitch Affiliate Tier?
The Twitch Afilliate tier allows you to automatically track and deliver additional custom benefits to your Twitch subcribers. We know how long you and your fans have waited for that official Twitch sub button. Activating your Affiliate tier allows you to continue providing additional enhancements and rewards to your subscribers without any additional investment.
What does GameWisp charge for this service?
Nothing! The Twitch tier offered through GameWisp is completely free, both for you and your subscribers. You pay nothing to us, and your fans pay no additional cash for access. This means you deliever extra goodies to your fans at no additional cost.
Can I have both the Twitch Affiliate tier and paid GameWisp tiers?
Yes! Every GameWisp user has access to up to six paid GameWisp tiers, in addition to their free Twitch subscriber tier. It’s a great way to let your biggest fans contibute even more! And, if you’d rather just have your Twitch tier, that’s fine too.
I’m an Affiliate. How can I find the Twitch tier on my GameWisp account?
Once you’ve become an affiliate, the Twitch API will relay that information to GameWisp, and the Twitch tier will become available in your GameWisp tier editor, available by selecting “Tiers” from the navigation menu. It will appear above your paid tiers; simply publish it from this page, and it will become available to your fans from your GameWisp campaign.
I have three Twitch Affiliate tiers. Why do I only have one Twitch tier on GameWisp?
The GameWisp Twitch tier generally encompasses all of your Twitch subscribers, regardless of contribution level. All Twitch subscribers have access to the same single GameWisp tier.
Can I use a bot to deliever GameWisp Twitch Affiliate benefits?
Benefits in the GameWisp Twitch Affiliate tier can be delivered using the same automated tools as any other GameWisp tier, including third-party extensions and bots. GameWisp features many integrations though our API, potentially with the same bot you use to deliver your Twitch benefits.
Do Twitch Partners also have a Twitch tier on GameWisp?
Indeed, they do! We’ve actually been offering free Twitch-level tiers to partners for a long time, and have a lot of partnered users who take advantage, keeping their susbscribers organized and offering extra stuff. The Twitch Affiliate tier is actually an extension of this feature, added due to popular demand.
