It’s all exciting at the console front at the moment. With Microsoft, Sony and even Nintendo itching to make their console more powerful than it already is, just to ensure that they do not lose out due to competition. It has already been a while since Microsoft and Sony announced that they will be releasing two new consoles. The newest console for Microsoft, the Xbox One S came out earlier this month and it features a massive visual upgrade. The console now supports 4K and HDR support, while the console has become smaller, sleeker and smarter in itself.

While these consoles are supposed to be powerful, Microsft has gone one step ahead and has decided to prepare a powerful Xbox One S, with an option to purchase a 2 TB version of the console. However, this offer will be available for a limited time only. Microsoft confirmed this with GameSpot in a statement, saying, “The 2 TB Xbox One S was released as a special launch edition in limited quantities only. We’re thrilled at the amount of interest we’ve received and we are always looking for opportunities to offer choice and fantastic value to our fans. Please check with your local retailer to determine whether the 2 TB Xbox One S is still available in your market.”

The demand is such that retailers, such as Eurogamer, are already out of stock of their allotment, and can sell no more pieces of the 2 TB version. Those who missed out on this opportunity need not get disheartened, all Microsoft products including the Xbox connect with an external hard drive very conveniently and using any such drive should not be a hassle.

Besides Microsft will be coming up with bundles starting this month, when they will be different storage capacities of the console. There will be a 1 TB version of the console which will be available for $350 and it will be available with Madden NFL or Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief, or a 500 GB model that will be available for $300. But I am sure that this will not be the end of the bundles that Microsoft will be offering. They will come up with different bundles in order to keep their console moving.
