After releasing a kick-ass trailer, EA has almost gone silent on Battlefield 1. Like me there are a great number of gamers around the world who are waiting eagerly for the game, probably more than any other game that is expected to come out this year. The rumor going around the industry is that the game’s beta isn’t too far away and should be available post-Gamescom this year, and it appears as though the beta will be open to all, and not closed for only those who have pre-ordered.

Battlefield’s Community Manager in Germany, Sebastian Moritz, spoke on twitch that we should expect the beta to be available soon after Gamescom, which is scheduled to take place around 17–21 August at Koelnmesse, Germany. And it seems that Battlefield insiders would get early access to the beta. So if you can manage to, then I would reckon you get on to that list before the next one month, so that you don’t have to wait for the game.

If you don’t understand the hype around Battlefield 1 then have a look at the trailer.

Another big reveal that is expected to happen at Koelnmesse is the Red Dead Redemption 2 reveal, as Rockstar has confirmed its participation. Gamescom is the biggest event of the gaming industry held in Europe, and it is less than a month away. Keep watching this space for more information and announcements.
