Last year, Housemarque announced their new upcoming PS 4 game Matter falls. The announcement of the game was also made in the Paris Game Week, where the trailer of Matter falls was showcased amongst the 21 most awaited launches. The trailer did give a little idea of what to expect from the video game, but it did not reveal much about the story or the background of the game. Apart from that, the action sci-fi games look different from the usual fps games that are released and looks extremely promising. Just to reiterate, Housemarque is the same developer which produced the legendary games of Resogun, Dead Nation and Super Stardust. They are also preparing for another series called Alienation.

On 27th October last year, Housemarque made an announcement about the launch of the game through twitter. They have mentioned that ‘smart matter’ has taken over the control of the world. By the looks of it, ‘smart matter’ appears like something that we might see in Transformers: Age of Extinction.

According to Housemarque, “Matterfall follows an unexpected hero in a ravished sci-fi setting. Crystalline shapes that are summoned mid-air are a staple of technology in this world and you must overcome an ever expanding threat that might have already seeped too far into the core of humanity itself.”

What we can understand from the trailer is that there is the threat to the existence of mankind due to the alien invasion, and the player is tasked with the duty to fight the aliens. The game is very futuristic and gives the player unique and powerful gadgets to use while in combat. This action thriller looks to be packed with deadly sequences, which require you to use your imagination to fight and survive. Just to give you an idea of how exciting the trailer is, here’s the video that they had posted on their official channel on Youtube, Housemarque games.
