Eurogamer has revealed that the Advertising Standards Authority is currently investigating No Man’s Sky for false advertising. The ASA launched its investigation after receiving several complaints about No Man’s Sky’s advertising.

According to Eurogamer, ASA’s investigation revolves around No Man’s Sky’s Steam Store page. The reason behind this is quite simple; the complainants believe that the assets showcased on its Steam store page misrepresent the game.

Of course, this can be said about other games featured on Steam, however, this is the first time we’ve heard the ASA actually investigating a game’s Steam store page.

As Eurogamer noted:

“Complaints centre around screenshots and videos that feature more advanced animal behaviour, large-scale combat and ship-flying behaviour than ended up in the launch version of the game. Complainants also say screenshots misrepresent the graphical quality of the game.”

We’ve already covered No Man’s Sky’s false advertising, so it will be interesting to see what will happen now that ASA is investigating this.

And here’s what gamers Thought :
