Resident Evil Origins Collection Finally Out!
Capcom’s Resident Evil Origins Collection is finally out! The wait is now over. The game which was announced last year is finally available for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. In fact, the collection comes together with the Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil HD remakes. Winter is like the season for zombie-attach games, it seems as if these monsters add to the chill! Here is a brief synopsis for what to expect from the collection.
The Resident Evil 0 is set in 1998, where the S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) have been deployed their team to investigate murders in the outskirts of Raccoon City. On course to the site of the murders the team made a crash landing and found an overturned prisoner transport vehicle and a train that was standing midway. Throughout the game, players will have to take control of both Rebecca and Billy (the two main characters of S.T.A.R.S.), switching between the two characters to proceed forward. Each character has distinct abilities, and using this to your own advantage would make the game more fun.
The Resident Evil HD is perhaps a terrifying one, even though this game is based in Raccoon City as well. Here the player is given a choice at the start of the game to choose between Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine from the S.T.A.R.S. team. Both of them have the task to search and bring back team Bravo. In the beginning itself, you are attacked by a group of mutated dogs. After being forced to hide in the Mansion, the player will have to find its way through unlit and spooky spaces and discover the horror behind each scene. With limited ammo and great terror in each scene, this game will really give you goosebumps!
The gameplay of both, Resident Evil o and Resident Evil HD remakes are distinctly different from each other. The latter is a remake is based on the 2002 GameCube version of the game and was released last year around the same time. They games are a step up from the older versions, having better audio, detailed graphics with optional camera controls and you can even switch between 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio. Probably these enhancements and variation prompted for the release of the collection. You could play each game when you want, without missing out on the fun from the other.
