Looks like Ubisoft is not the only one that is making an open world winter sports game for the console. It will face competition from Ubisoft’s Steep that is expected to be released around the same time.

Snow has been around for the PC for a few years now. The beta for the game will be available from the coming week from 25th October, however, it is a paid beta. Those interested will have to purchase it for $20 but will get a Founder’s Pack worth $30 in game items. However, the gold items will be exclusive to PS4 during the beta.

There will be a bonus for PS Plus subscribers even for the beta. This includes an ’80s outfit and matching snowboard and skis.

The game is available for free on Steam. You can navigate yourself through the Sialia mountain by snowboarding, skiing or even snowmobiling. The mountain has 24 drop points, and different abandoned sites to explore. The site includes a wrecked cargo plane, an observatory, and an old castle.

The most standing out feature of the game is that developer Poppermost Productions will be working with ESPN to bring the Winter X Games to Snow. So we expect similar courses, the Slopestyle, SuperPipe, and Big Air courses from 2016 games to feature in the game. There is also a hoodie waiting for you if you complete the three events with Gold medals.
