World’s Best Online Gaming Router
Do you like to play games online? Do you wanna go on streaks and have insane Kill/Death ratio but are you suffering from lag? Well, I got you covered.
I have found the best Router you can get which is solely based on gaming and gaming. It has everything you might expect. But here comes the twist. Some of its features are so great that you can’t even imagine them.
It’s Netduma R1. It costs a lot for a router but sure it’s a great thing. It’s a piece of technology. Alright, let me tell you some of its features or what it does better than the others.
1. Host Limitation
The first thing you can do is limit the host countries. In other words, if you don’t want the host to be outside the India, you can restrict the region so the game will only find Hosts in India. That’s incredible. Do you have any idea how much that can affect online gaming? You basically can have 4 bars (speaking from FPS perspective) in all the matches. It’s insane.
2. Ping Assist
You can set a Ping that you would like to have in every game. The router will deny the connections from a person who goes beyond that ping meaning if you set 50ms, you are going to get 50ms ping every game. Although if you set the number way too low, for example, 10 you might have to wait for hours to get into a lobby. 80 And below is great.
3. Advanced Traffic Monitor and Bandwidth Controller
So basically, you can assign priorities to different devices and limit their bandwidth. It’s great because all of us gamers suffer from our family, using the internet and making us lag. It’s really bad. With this thing, you can set predefined rules, for example, Smartphone will have 30% bandwidth while Laptop will have 50% and PS4 and Xbox one set to 100%. It’s great. Some might think it’s not that great of feature but to me, god damn I would like to limit some things in here.
Now there are some other features like port forwarding, QoS, and other stuff but those are common nowadays so I won’t really mention them.
Now if you ask me? Is it really a great router? is it really gonna end the lag?
Well, it’s complicated. If you only talk about the router, its great. It is a key thing every gamer should have but on network department. Lag, in very few minor cases, depends on your ISP and your basic connection. So if you have dumped connection it probably won’t make it any better but if you have a decent connection let just say 10 down and 5 up. It’s gonna improve a lot.
Now, the price. It costs 199$ and it’s not the greatest looking either. It comes in a very simple box and it almost feels cheap while unboxing. I mean it really doesn’t matter how good a router looks because you’re probably gonna place it somewhere where it will never get to see the sunlight again. Jokes aside, it’s a great router. I would probably recommend it to anyone who is facing lag.
I hope you enjoyed reading this and if you do get Netduma R1. Hit me up and let me know how was your experience. So far the reviews I have read, everybody says it changed their life. I mean not really because gamers really don’t have lives, do they?
Anyways, I’ll catch you guys later. Cya :)
