What we, as small and big businesses, can do to help our internal teams and users to grow in times of Corona?

It took 3 months to reach 100,000 coronavirus cases worldwide. The second 100,000 took 12 days. (The Washington Post)

In times like these, when there is a Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) SOS alert, it becomes difficult to operate. Markets are closing down, people are asked to stay at home, roads are getting emptier; it is sure to cause a lot of disruption in our routines. And it is our moral duty to stay at home to help the society at large.

The first thing that comes to mind while thinking of business is Work From Home (WFH). It is something that runs through and with trust. And whatever we’ve been building as a company, as a team, is put to test at such a time.
At Gamezop, we understand how each of our contribution matters and how we all come together to support the whole, like in a big Jenga Game.

We, as a company believe in walking together, hand-in-hand and helping each other through every milestone. During the last few days, we took some steps to progress this culture through these difficult times and not fall all out like a Game-Over Jenga situation.

  1. We decided to give all of us a Work-from-home.
We all need to be quarantined up for the benefit of our own selves as individuals and largely, as a community
  2. We collectively decided we would share with each other our work goals for the day in the morning and then we check with each other if we are done with it or if we have to make it to tomorrow. It’s a fun exercise to see how we are doing as individuals and to try and improve for the next day
  3. We decided to interact internally through video calls because we like seeing each other and never want distance to take over the wonderful work relationships 😊

In addition to the change in the way we operate as a team, we also understand that we have a moral responsibility towards our users. Over 20 million users play our games each month: that’s a lot of people! And many of these people may not be aware of what they can do to prevent the spread of the virus, or to keep themselves safe. For all of our users, we have added a safety-measures page informing them of the things they can do to keep themselves safe. This page can be viewed here (try the link on mobile 🤗).

A lot of our users access our content in Hindi, and we have made sure these preventive measures are explained to them in Hindi as well.

Over the next few days, as a team, we will try and identify more ways in which we can get users to spend more and more time on Gamezop, so they are spending less time outside. If you have any ideas, do share it with us in the comments section!

Together, we hope and believe that the current situation can be tackled well within time. Till then, we promise to work hard to provide you with Games that you play while you quarantine. Win money or play free games.
