Fighter & Bomber No More
Disclaimer: this post was edited on May 31st ’17 after we also removed the Fighter plan from our online store.
There’s quite a few things that have been going well, very well or even extremely well for Gamoloco since we launched.
Initially I had this idea to build something that didn’t exist before, a recurring pattern in my life. After a little struggle and gathering some help, I managed to get the idea into the real world. And we could get the word out: users started engaging with our service while we were working with the most ridiculous promo budget you could think of. Some people loved it even.
Considering where this all started from, it’s crazy to think we today have billionaire corporations from all around the world using our service to help them define and validate million-dollar esports and live content strategies.
That’s the good, and I would say the most important, part of Gamoloco. At the other end of the spectrum though, we have been experiencing engineering issues for a while now… and we can track back these issues all the way to a lack of resources.
The one big mistake I made with Gamoloco was pricing. I should have trusted myself more, and listened to advice more as well. The fact is our work is worth way more than what we’ve been charging so far.
Which is why we removed the Fighter and Bomber offers from the site, meaning it cannot be purchased anymore. Those already subscribed to it can keep using the service for 8 more weeks at least, as long as they keep paying for it.
After that, sometime in the Summer I guess, the Fighter and Bomber offers will be entirely cut from the site.
If you are interested in digging viewership data further back than what is available for free on the site, please get in touch and let’s see how we can help you in a way that also makes sense to us.
As you might have guessed, the removal of the Fighter and Bomber plans is only the first step in introducing new offers and prices to access Gamoloco data in the future.
I hope you understand the move here. It’s a blessing that our service has been so popular. Now the focus is on making sure it will 1/ survive, 2/ improve, 3/ make some cash.
There’s so much new cool stuff we have to build. Soon we can start moving forward for good again.
