Since the start of Gamoloco back in 2014, our team has had many opportunities to discuss and collect feedback from clients and contacts within the gaming industry. With the growth of esports and live streaming platforms such as Twitch, there has been an increasing demand for insightful viewership data for esports events.

What was the viewership for ESL One Cologne? What about the latest Major?! Or maybe you’d like to know about DotA 2’s The International? are some of the questions we’ve heard the most.

It’s still the early days of esports and there is a need for many gravitating around the esports universe — game developers, event organisers, sponsors, etc — to understand the impact of their initiatives in that space.

We’re very happy to announce that starting now, Gamoloco can provide detailed reports for major esports events. We’re starting with top tier CS:GO and DotA 2 events. We also have data for flagship fighting game event EVO and are already looking to add more games and events in the upcoming months.

Each of our reports features a high level of precision and readability:

  • full event viewership data including the following KPI’s: Average Viewers, Peak Viewers, Hours Watched and Air Time
  • channels and daily breakdowns
  • granularity to the minute
  • graphs for data visualization
  • data provided in spreadsheet format
  • data going back to the summer of 2014
