Sept 9, 2016. Busan Indie Connect Festival is upon us! From September 9th to 11th, Indie Game Developers worldwide come together for this festival to share their games and experiences with the world. Follow us live today and tomorrow as various members of our team report about the various happenings from Busan, South Korea.

Day 1

2:22pm: (Philip Paek) Early arrival at the Busan Cinema Center for BICFest. Apparently the roof is the largest LED roof in the world, cant wait to see what they use it for!

3:01pm: (Philip Paek) Tried our hand out at VR game Bullet Train as the developers set up their booth in the VR Zone. The VR Zone as a whole looks promising so far though still being fully set up — will report back on this tomorrow.

3:35pm: (Philip Paek) Some of the booths are still being set up as everything begins to get underway but it looks like everyone is just getting ready to hit the ground running tomorrow.

4:20 (Philip Paek) Thats it for now. Check back tomorrow for full coverage of Day 2's festivities from the rest of our team coming down to Busan.

Day 2:

8:00 AM (얀.) The rest the squad is finally off to Busan via KTX. Maybe we’ll update from our Train to Busan😁👌🏻 See you all soon!!!

9:30 AM (얀.) We are still on our way. A little disappointed by the lack of zombies on the train. 😔

1:00 PM (얀.) Finally here checking out the event grounds and festivities.

1:19PM (Philip Paek) Checking out the VR zone, but gotta make it through these lines first.

1:40 PM (얀.) Still in line waiting for a VR game titled A Tiny Escape by a Japanese developer. This seems to be the IT (VR) game at BIC, other VR booths aren’t garnering as much attention.

2:03pm (Philip Paek) Hard earned but apparently we were only the second group to successfully pull of an escape today and the fastest time! #VRKing (얀.) They have hygiene masks for VR headsets!!!

2:30 PM (얀.) Now at the outdoor booth area checking out some creations by international devs. Perfect weather for an outdoor event.

3:50pm (Philip Paek) Digital Art Contest on the big stage with cosplayers from the cosplay contest roaming around the festivities.

3:45 PM (얀.) The Retro Game Market is awesome! You can get great deals on vintage consoles, games, and toys! Super tempted to buy a Gameboy or Super Nintendo and relive my childhood. 🤓

4:00pm (Philip Paek) Lots of cool booths outside with indie devs from all over the world!
