Lineage 2: Revolution — First Major Update
Lineage 2: Revolution has been a great success as one of the highest grossing Korean mobile games on record. A few months after release, the game is still top of the charts as Top Grossing on both the App Store and Google Play. On the 9th of February, a new major update to the wildly popular game was released, increasing the level cap and introducing new areas and monsters along with other changes to the game.
The level cap was raised from 120 to 150 allowing players to continue their adventure into new lands to see new monsters. The new area introduced is called ‘기란 자치령’ (Giran Dominion) for players between levels 120 to 135 giving clans certain buffs if they capture the Giran Fortress.
Also, new to the game is the new dungeon “상아탑” (Ivory Tower). With a minimum entry level of 128 and power level of 300k, this new dungeon is shorter and harder than the previous dungeons, and PK deaths are also possible.
The Clan system has also been reworked. Previously, many clans were losing their leaders due to bans or account hacking, resulting in many issues happening within the clans. Now there are new systems in place to help people take up missing ranks in the clans and to retake control within 7 days if needed. Besides these changes, there were also a number of balance changes to help balance the specialisation classes and certain overpowered abilities.
