Doomfist is here!

For thousands of Overwatch players, it has always been a question of when, not if Doomfist is coming. However, we have more concrete evidence pointing to Doomfist and a new Summer Games event.

A recent crash log on Overwatch’s PTR (Public Test Realm) reveals Doomfist and the Summer Games are coming soon, possible being added in with Patch 1.13. Although, last year’s Summer Games were rather late, occurring in August, there is nothing that is requiring the Summer Games to match up from year to year.

The crash log has the following line in it, as posted by Battle.net forum user bax42.

The above crash log was also reported and confirmed by several other users on the Battle.net forum, with a follow up posting on the Overwatch Reddit.

The Summer Games almost seems like a certainty, as the Overwatch community has come acroos a few unique items via the PTR. We have recently seen certain stats that hadn’t existed before, but they have since been removed. We have also heard of reports of music for the event being datamined by hard-core fans, which would further suggest the event is coming.

The Doomfist speculation is still a bit suspicious. It seem to be a bit odd for him to come without any official statements from Blizzard. We’re sure Blizzard, especially the Overwatch team, will find some way to openly tease us like they did with the Horizon Lunar Colony, before they release Doomfist into the game.
