Wild Buster — The Diabloesque MMORPG
Wild Buster is an upcoming diabloesque MMORPG due to be released on March 2nd. Developed by a Korean company called Nuri Works, the game is set in an gritty militaristic Sci-Fi universe with futuristic characters and weapons. With its cast of over 20 unique characters, each with unique abilities and roles, Wild Buster features combat inspired by the point and click hack-and-slash combat of the Diablo series.
The game currently features a number of PvE and PvP modes, including dungeons, raids and 5v5 arena style battles. Other modes include a invasion/defense mode, ‘rescue the refugees’, and some other interesting dungeon mechanics where enemy players can invade dungeons and encounters can randomly drop down from the sky to keep things fresh. This means that the game will also feature some interesting PvE co-operative modes too.
Players can chose from over 20 different characters and there are rumors of secret characters that can be unlocked as well. Characters all have a large skill trees with unique playstyles. The game will also have a feature called Titan Stones, a gem which allows more customisation of the character.
Each character belongs to one of two factions, the Guardians or the Abandons. Both factions are fighting against the same enemy, known as the ‘Broken’, which are half-machine, half-human zombie like creatures trying to take over the world. Guardians seem like a typical Terran organisation, offering missions, bases and supply services. On the other hand, the Abandon go down the route of having a black market, with fame and rewards given when harassing the Guardians.
The game will be released on the 2nd of March and is currently offering a pre-registration event. Signing up for the game now will award players with a 50,000 won in-game package when logging into the game for the first time. Unfortunately, at the moment, the game requires a Korean ID in order to register.
