How to duplicate a GarageBand project

Let’s cover how to duplicate a GarageBand project. There are two ways to duplicate a GarageBand project.

  1. From a Finder window (Fastest)
  2. Inside the GarageBand app (Can be done without leaving the app)

Duplicate a GarageBand project in Finder

Save your original project before you make a duplicate. To save, press Command + S, or, click File > Save. Then, enter a project name and press Return. Now you’re ready to create a duplicate.

  1. Open Finder by clicking on the Finder icon on your Mac’s Toolbar.

2. Search your project name in the Finder window.

3. Right-click or Command + Click on the project file > Click Duplicate.

4. Your duplicate will automatically save as “Your Project Name copy.”
