The pervasiveness of purple

Purple, lavender, and magenta tones are common colors of spring. The crocus in the first picture are a bright red-purple, while the irises below are a bluer-purple.

These purple irises are the first of many we expect to bloom in the next few weeks. They are regal and showy, just one example of the many purple and magenta hues modeled by the flowers of spring.
