GARDEN OF NEURO
May is the Month of Flowers
The Garden Mid-Week Update
Spring is in full bloom in the Garden.
National Poetry Month inspired many to write! Garden Poet Laureate Lisa Tomey-Zonneveld kept us full of ideas with daily prompts. She also held two workshops and participants shared their work. Carla M. Cherry presented a workshop creating poetry around the theme of Gratitude. Attendees all enjoyed sharing their work.
The Garden also invited The Talk contributors to a Live Conversation event where more stories were shared. The Talk continues to be an important project in the Garden, and now submissions to The Talk will be accepted on a continuous basis. We look forward to publishing Volume 2 of The Talk in late 2023 or early 2024.

Coming up!
Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 3rd, author and artist Tina Hudak will share her latest book, Poetry From the Porch & Other Writing: Pathways through a Pandemic at the monthly Poetry Book Club Gathering.
Self-monitored write-in sessions are still popular, even though in-person events are beginning to take place again. While a silent Zoom session might not feel the same as sitting around a table in a room with other people, it is still a great way to schedule an hour to focus on writing — without getting out of your jammies 😉
Self-monitored write-ins happen daily in the Garden. Check the events schedule, RSVP, and put it in your calendar as your time to write.
