Under The Skin

Every morning and at night
I enter beneath your skin so fair
Yes, I am that little needle
Every time, causing some scare.

You squirm and squeal
Watching me on my way
But with insulin in tow,
I always save the day

Under your skin I go
Like a fearless little knight
Looking for the perfect spot
To keep sugar level right.

I may be sharp and prickly
Do cheer me, a mini injection
Without insulin and little me
Could you relish any confection?
