Aloe vera (First aid plant)

This perennial plant is a succulent. It is frost tender but can be grown as a (large) houseplant or in a conservatory year round, or kept outside in summer and brought inside for winter in the same way as begonias and other tender perennials.

Plants can be raised from seed or sometimes it’s possible to divide larger plants. Usually one plant is sufficient. They should be given a sunny position and watered sparingly.
