Canon has launched its latest model, Canon EOS C70 that has an RF lens mount. It is compatible with a new mount adapter EF-ROS 0.71x that will let you use your EF lenses with it.
The camera can record videos of up to 4k @120fps, paired up with a CMOS DGO (Dual Gain Output) sensor.
Canon has provided Direct Touch Control function along with vertical shooting options to help cinematographers and videographers quickly change their recording settings.

4K Super 35mm CMOS DGO sensor
The camera can capture 4K videos in 4:2:2 (10-bit) color.
The sensor is designed to read each pixel at two different gain levels which provide enhanced results. It can shoot high dynamic range (HDR) images of up to 16+ stops with low noise
EOS C70 has the Digic DV7 image processor that supports 4K/ 120p and 2K/ 180p video recording. It brings the option to record content in Canon’s XF-AVC or MP4 (H.265) codecs.
Canon has provided an EOS iTR AF X algorithm on the EOS C70 camera that claims to help improve subject detection and tracking and bring support for head detection.
It has the brand’s own Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology that brings Intelligent Tracking and Recognition System.

RF Mount
The RF Mount is future-ready for cinematographers. If you have a collection of EF-lenses you can use them too with the help of the adapter. The proprietary adapter brings a 1-stop gain in light transmission using a built-in, miniaturized optical system.
You also get face detection AF feature.
Canon EOS C70 has a top handle that can be removed, helping in taking low angle shots. There is also a forward-mounted Mic Holder to let you place a gun mic.
There is an air intake system that maintains the temperature when videos are recorded for a long duration of time.
The EOS C70 uses a hardware and software combination to let you capture videos not just for wide screens but also for mobile devices and vertical oriented social media platforms. There is also a vari-angle LCD with touch support. The camera also comes with a tripod mount into the vertical grip to let you mount it in portrait orientation.

When will it be available?
It is scheduled to go on sale from November 2020. Its price in India hasn’t been revealed yet.
In the US, Canon EOS C70 costs $5499 which is roughly Rs. 4,05,000. The mount adapter EF-ROS costs $599.99, roughly Rs. 44,100.
