The competition is ON!

In this post, we will explain the mechanics of our Score Mode, so prepare your drawing skills and guessing abilities to come along with us.

First, don’t panic! It functions exactly like the Normal preset you’re already used to, but with a points system. Usually, you enjoy how bizarre the sentences get and how it changes from the original phrase. In this mode, you compete to see who can keep the meaning through the rounds.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:

  1. One player receives a sentence and tries to draw it as perfectly as they can
  2. The next player gives their best to describe the drawing
  3. If their description matches the previous sentence, they both get points!

Here’s an example:

  1. This player is going to draw the prompt “blue pencil”:

2. The following person will describe it:

Ding ding! The phrases match, so both players scored!

On the album exhibition, they’ll get a little green checkmark under their answers:

And after all the albums have been displayed, the game generates a ranking:

Notice that a “proceed” button at the end of the page allows you to continue playing and accumulate more points throughout the following rounds.

ANOTHER SCENARIO:

Imagine, midway through the game, the original meaning (the first-ever prompt) gets lost, but somehow the remaining players manage to keep another prompt going.

That’s also valid because it’s not about maintaining the first sentence through the entire game but about matching the sequence of phrase-drawing-phrase.

Let’s see how it works on the game, shall we?

As you can see, one of the players did a not-so-clear drawing of a blue flower, and it was described as a cloud, so that person didn’t score. But the other players continued playing with that new prompt and scored in the next round.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

You don’t have to get the exact same sentence to match your answers because elements like punctuation, twisted letters, small typing mistakes, and capitalization are not considered. As long as it’s very similar, it still counts.

So the key is to bring your inner artist alive and work on your telepathy skills to guess the correct answer.

In addition, this mode is excellent for exercising the healthy competition spirit since you can play it along with your friends/viewers and set a reward for the artist that scores more points, for example.

We hope this clarifies how our Score Mode works! If you have any suggestions or questions, contact us on our Discord Server.
