Hello Hello, Gartic Community!

We have four new Gartic Phone modes fresh out of the oven for you: Masterpiece, Story, Missing Piece, and Co-Op. We’ll walk you through each new game mode so you have all the knowledge you need to explain the rules like a pro in your next game session.

  1. Masterpiece Mode

This mode was created thinking about our incredible Gartic artists who put their blood, sweat, and tears into the drawings.

It’s simple; you’ll have a single turn without a time limit to play. This way, you can create more elaborate drawings and express your creativity without thinking about the clock.

2. Story Mode

No drawings! What do you mean by no drawings in Gartic Phone?

This mode has a different dynamic: Each player writes a sentence at the beginning, and then, instead of drawing in the second round, they’ll receive another player’s sentence and continue writing the story based on that. In the end, you will have a beautiful — or maybe hilarious — story with all the sentences you created together.

3. Missing Piece Mode

Imagine you’re putting up a puzzle that will always have a piece missing. It sounds frustrating, right? But it’s actually an opportunity to invent a different way to complete it.

This is what this mode is about: each player takes turns adding to the same drawing, but the catch is that the game erases a portion of it on each round.

For example, Player 1 must create an incomplete drawing with something missing, and Player 2 then receives it and finishes in their own way. However, by the time Player 3 receives it, Player 1’s original portion has been erased, leaving an incomplete drawing for them to complete again.

4. Co-Op Mode

This mode is great for playing with your drawing buddies since it allows you to create an illustration together.

There are six turns: one for writing and five for drawing. Start with writing a sentence that will lead the drawing creation. Other players will draw in the next rounds, as usual. But instead of making a separate drawing, they will take turns contributing to the same one, adding a little to put together the prompt given. In the end, the album will showcase a collaborative creation.

In addition to that, we have new settings options for you to customize your match. On the “TASK FLOW” item, you now have the option:

  • Only Writing: you can now play a match with only sentences and no drawings — the same dynamic as the Story mode

Also, there’s a new item called “KEEP DRAWING,” with the following options:

  • DISABLED
  • ALL DRAWINGS: as the rounds pass, the other player’s drawings will continue on the screen — the same dynamic as the Co-Op mode.
  • ONLY THE PREVIOUS DRAWING: as the rounds pass, only the previous player’s drawing will continue on the screen — the same dynamic as the Missing Piece mode.

We added the features on CUSTOM SETTINGS so you can apply these dynamics however you decide to play.

Share your thoughts about it with us! If you have any feedback, get in touch on our Discord Server. We wish you a great gaming experience!
