Inspiration: Jesus & The Woman At The Well
As seen through the eyes of ‘The Chosen’ TV series
Many depictions of the Jesus story have been designed for movie and television audiences. In my opinion, The Chosen series is at the top of the list for genuine authenticity and making the stories come alive.
One of my favorites is the exchange of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well. (John 4 NIV)
From the first words, the dialogue in this The Chosen story portrays this deeply important life event and speaks authentically rather than as a religiously slanted interpretation of the famous Bible story.
I was thoroughly inspired — even to tears — over the presentation. I believe it to be the real heart of God for all people, including those wounded by toxic ideas and attitudes so prevalent in the religious world today.
Keep in mind: This is more than a Jesus story in history, but an example of how God’s love is actively expressed today.
