Mothers with kids turned out in Waltham, MA to say “thank you” to those from National Grid who partnered with Mothers Out Front in a first-of-its-kind pilot study aimed at fixing the larger gas leaks from underground pipes in the most effective ways possible.

Mothers Out Front is a grass-roots organization of moms, grandmothers and allies committed to securing for our children a livable climate.

Officials from National Grid met with a group of Waltham moms concerned about the impact of gas leaks on their kids and the environment. A pilot program seeks to fix the leaks using proven techniques.

On October 3rd a summit called“Common Goals, Uncommon Partners will take place at MIT. At this summit findings from this collaborative pilot study will be released, as utility executives talk with researchers, scientists and the Gas Leaks Allies to create a path forward for fixing gas leaks.
