GAT Bridge goes live
The waiting was definitely worth it! The new bridge infrastructure that has been developed will allow us to easily add new chains and serve as a basis for upcoming minted.vodka features in a multi-chain environment.
Where can I find the bridge?
The bridge has been integrated into the MintedVodka and can be accessed from the “Bartender Tools” or with this direct link: https://minted.vodka/tools/bridge
Please be aware that we had to activate multi-chain support on MintedVodka to allow bridging from other neworks back to BSC. You can easily switch between networks in your wallet, as long as you are connected to MintedVodka. You can see the current network you are connected to at the bottom of the sidebar:
While you can connect to other networks apart of BSC, you can only see, create and accept deals when you are connected to the BSC network only! This is a temporary measure until the full-features MintedVodka upgrade is finished and the trading on the other networks is enabled (ore on that in the upcoming blog posts).
Which networks does the bridge support?
We have added 3 initial networks to the bridge: Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum and Polygon. Other networks can be added fast and with relatively low effort in the future. Ethereum and Polygon were selected to allow our NFTs to be sold on OpenSea, which supports both networks. Since Polygon is more than 1000x cheaper than Ethereum, we expect that most of the assets will be bridged there.
Which assets can be bridged?
Currently, there are only two assets enabled for bridging to test the infrastructure:
- the “Game Ace” cartridge NFTs.
- the “wrapped GAT” (or “WGAT”) BEP20 coin, which is a wrapper for GAT.
Both assets can be bridged in any direction across all the currently enabled networks. Be aware that the cost to bridge an asset (apart of the gas fees to start the bridging) differs depending on the target network.
How much does it cost to bridge an asset?
All bridging fees are paid in WGAT. When you are connected to BSC network, you can easily wrap/unwrap GAT at 1:1 ratio here: https://mintd.vodka/tools/wgat.
On the other networks, you can see your WGAT balance, but you cannot unwrap it back to GAT (because GAT does not exist on other networks).
To offset the minting costs, the current bridging fees for the target networks below are set as follows:
- Ethereum — 20 WGAT
- Binance Smart Chain — 0.5 WGAT
- Polygon/Matic — 0.01 WGAT
How do I bridge WGAT / Game Ace ?
- Go to https://minted.vodka/tools/bridge
- Connect your wallet and switch to the network you want to bridge from (BSC, Ethereum or Polygon).
- Click on the asset you want to bridge:
- Click on the network you wish to bridge to:
- In case of NFT: click on the NFT you wish to bridge. If you are bridging WGAT, enter the amount you wish to bridge.
How long does bridging take?
Usually, the bridging takes at most a few minutes. In some cases, especially when you bridge from Ethereum, it could take up to 10 minutes to complete.
Is bridging safe?
The bridge is a beta product. Your assets are as safe as the current state of the product allows, but the infrastructure has to be field-tested and it could happen that your transfers could be delayed if an issue arises.
If you notice that your transfer has not happened within one hour, feel free to contact us on Discord and report your issue.

If you transferred the GameAce cartridge, switch your wallet to the target network and look for “GameAce” collection in MintedVodka collections here: https://minted.vodka/properties. If you filter the collection with your wallet address, you should see the cartridge after a while when the bridging is completed.
WGATs will appear in https://minted.vodka/tools/wgat. Alternatively, you can add WGAT to your (MetaMask) wallet using the contract addresses for the respective network below.
