Dear Community,

the long-awaited Minting is now available at MintedVodka as a beta-feature for public testing. Please feel free to test it and give us your feedback on our channels (Discord, Telegram, …).

How does it work ?

First of all, as you may already know, everything on MintedVodka is done through the “bartender” — a flexible step-by-step sidebar wizard that guides you through the on-chain process(es). As a first step you create your own “Collection” by clicking the “Create new collection” button.

You select the chain and the current NFT type that you want to create (currently only “Digital Art” is available; “Games/Software” etc. will arrive in the near future).

Now select an image to serve as you collection’s banner, a name and a description:

When you create your new NFT collection at MintedVodka it already mints an NFT on the chain that serves as a key to the collection. The owner of the key is able to modify the collection — for example, mint new NFTs into the collection.

You can see that there is a new category of NFTs in your NFT Wallet (MVC):

When you click on it, you see the MintedVodka NFT Collections that you currently own (that you can modify):

Click on your newly created collection and have a look at what is possible:

You can:

  1. mint new items (NFTs) into this collection
  2. view all the items in this collection (across all the chains)
  3. start a deal to sell your collection’s key (so basically the ownership of the NFT collection)
  4. send the collection key to another address/wallet (this would directly transfer the ownership)
  5. bridge the key to another chain (you will only be able to modify/manage the collection on that chain; however, every NFT belonging to this collection can be bridged freely to any supported chain)
  6. refresh the chain data (if you notice that the changes are not updated on the user interface yet)
  7. burn the collection key (this would lock the collection forever — making it impossible to change it in the future nor mint new items into it). Note that NFT bridging between chains will still be possible even if the collection key is burned.

Mint a new NFT into the collection

First of all, add an image, a name and a description of your NFT that you would like to add to the collection:

Submit it, you will see the bartender wizard again guiding you through the rest of the on-chain process, where you will publish the media to IPFS and select the amount you wish to mint, etc.:

Once the process is completed, you will see a new NFT category in your wallet (MVI):

You can then list all your owned NFT items, or display the items for this particular collection by clicking on “View collection items” on the collection’s page:

In this example I have minted 33x NFTs of each image. When I click on an item, I can see several things:

  1. I own all 33 items
  2. I can add an item to a deal to start trading
  3. I can mint additional items of this particular art

If I click on the “images” icon, the bartender wizard will help me to mint additional items:

Happy testing! :-)

What now ?

Please feel free to test it and give us your feedback on our channels (Discord, Telegram, …).

This is the minimum viable version of our minting and it will certainly improve in the coming days and weeks with bugfixing and further functionality. Afterwards new minting types will appear.

Please note: NFTs minted on MintedVodka are completely cross-chain and can be freely bridged to all currently supportd chains (and also chains yet-to-be-supported will work in the future for already minted NFTs).
