Participate in the Platin (PTN) token pre-sale through Gatecoin

Starting today, verified Gatecoin users such as yourself will be able to participate in Platin’s token pre-sale through Gatecoin’s dedicated pre-sale platform by pledging ETH directly from your the ETH balance in your account.

The deadline to take part in the Platin (PTN) token pre-sale through Gatecoin is 8:00 HKT (UTC+8), Tuesday, 08 May.

What is Platin?

Platin (Platin.io) is a lightweight, secure, and verifiable Proof of Location (PoL) protocol on the blockchain that finally makes cryptocurrency so you real that you can see, feel and touch it. What are Platin (PTNX) Tokens?

The Platin (PTNX) token act as the native token of the Platin ecosystem and enables location proofs to be requested via Platin’s proof of location (PoL) protocol. PTNX tokens also support the coupling and representation of geo data within secure digital assets. Sensor technologies assist in enhanced geolocation data that will enable more secure location services. The tokens are obtained by using the Platin Pocket™ mobile app, which can then be used to purchase services on the Platin platform or exchange for other cryptocurrencies.

• Allon Mason — (CEO and Co-Founder) — Allon, a graduate of Cornell University, is an entrepreneur, early Bitcoin supporter, and blockchain evangelist. Prior to founding Platin, Allon served as CEO of XPlace, one of the world’s leading online project marketplaces. Allon has also served as CEO of VREX, a marketplace for augmented reality and virtual reality talent and has an extensive background in finance and tech.
• Dr. Lionel Wolberger — (Co-Founder and CTO) — Dr. Wolberger, a crypto and security specialist, worked at Cisco Secure Video for 21 years together with Adi Shamir (inventor of the RSA algorithm and one of the inventors of differential cryptanalysis), has delivered large scale enterprise systems for Fortune 100 companies such as Cisco, Cox, MTV, News America Marketing, QVC, Get, Voo, and many other enterprises in India, China and Australia. Lionel holds degrees in mathematics and physics from Wesleyan and Cornell Universities.
• Dr. Srdjan Capkun — (Platin Chief Advisor on Secure Location) — Dr. Capkun is full professor in the Department of Computer Science, ETH Zurich and Director of the Zurich Information Security and Privacy Center (ZISC). Dr. Capkun has 15+ years of research and industry consulting experience, and his work on location security and wireless venues has been recognized worldwide with seminal publications in leading journals.

Token Sale Information

All tokens will be issued at once and there will be no further minting after the token generation event.

*PTNX is an ERC20 token issued exclusively for the token sale, that is equivalent to 1 PTN the native token of the Platin Plexus blockchain.

How to Participate

As a Gatecoin customer, you will receive access to the public token pre-sale and benefit from a 40% token bonus over the general public price (meaning that you will get 40% more tokens for the same amount of ETH sent). The minimum participation amount for this token sale is 0.5 ETH. Participation will be taken into account on a first come first serve basis.

**Please note that US nationals and US residents will not be accepted as contributors.**

1) Login to your Gatecoin account, then go to our token pre-sale section.

2) Make sure you have ETH funds in your account, as this will be the only currency accepted for this first token pre-sale facilitated on Gatecoin.

3) After checking the details and accepting the terms and conditions, you will be able to commit your ETH balance to Platin pre-sale. Make sure you do so before Tuesday, 08 May 8:00 HKT (UTC + 8).

Once pledged, your ETH contribution will be sent to the project along with other users’ contributions. The Platin team will take into account your participation and distribute PTNX tokens once the public token sale is over. Gatecoin will then credit your balance with PTNX tokens and release PTNX/ETH and PTNX/BTC for trading. The estimated time frame for token distribution is June, unless the hard cap is reached sooner.
