Key Points: The Perfect Introduction Workshop: How to introduce yourself perfectly in 20 words or less
First impressions matter!
A great introduction can be a powerful door opener to new possibilities.
You typically only have 8 seconds to turn your introduction into a career or business-building opportunity.
Everyone knows we only get one shot to make the right first impression. But few are really prepared to answer the question, “What do you do?”
Rebecca Okamoto’s workshop gave step-by-step how to create a powerful personal brand, AND introduce yourself perfectly in 20 words, or less.
Key Points:
Your personal brand is a promise….how your strength solves your audience’s problem
(Your) Strength + (Audience) Benefit = Promise (Your personal brand)
If you want to get the most out of your personal brand, invest in your clarity which is the missing link between you and getting the recognition that you deserve

The Step-by-Step Workshop:
If you answer a few simple questions, you can use five different templates to create your own personal brand introduction of 20 words or less.
Questions to ask to create your perfect introduction:
- Who is my audience?
- What does my audience want?
- What are 2–3 problems my audience struggles with that I am uniquely qualified to solve?
The Five Introduction Templates:
1. Benefit template:
I help [target audience] do [statement of need] + [statement of benefit]
2. Differentor template:
I help [target audience] do [statement of need or opportunity ] through [differentiator]
3. Breakthrough template:
I help [target audience] achieve [something they want] without [negative consequence]
4. Transformation template:
I [transform/translate/convert a problem] into [something aspirational]
5. Problem solver template:
I help [target audience] + [fix their problem]
Even with a personal introduction of less than 20 words, you may still not get the recognition that you deserve if you are not clear. Clarity is the game changer.
Clarity is not the same as communication
Communication = the imparting or exchanging of information or news
Clarity = the quality of being easily understood = the quality of being remembered = the quality of being easily seen or heard
