GawkBox 101: Completing your Tax Forms
If you’re a creator with GawkBox, you’ll need to complete your tax forms to receive your payments. If you’ve had trouble doing that, don’t worry — we’ve out together a concise guide to show you what to do.
If you don’t care to watch the video, you’re welcome to follow our guide below as well.
If you are a creator in the U.S. you’ll need to complete a W9 and we will send you a 1099 at the end of the fiscal year.
If you are an international creator (non-U.S.), you’ll need to complete a W-8BEN form for our records. This is solely to show that you do not owe U.S. taxes.
Before we can process our first payment to you, you will need to submit your tax information through our payment provider. You can do this by logging into your dashboard and going to Settings > Account > Configure. If you’re under 18, you still need to submit a tax form. Have a parent or guardian assist you if you need some help.
- If you are a US-based Creator and Taxpayer, please see here for instructions.
- If you are a non US-based Creator, please see here for instructions.
GawkBox does not withhold taxes from your earnings. You are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes you owe on the payments you receive in your local jurisdiction. Please consult with a tax professional to understand your tax obligations.
Once completed, you will not have to fill it out again unless your details change.
