Getting Started w/ GawkBox (Walkthrough)

A Quick walk through your creator profile —

Hello! Thanks for signing up for GawkBox. There’s quite a bit of pieces to your new GawkBox profile, So Michael and Zak sat down in front of a camera to walk you through everything.

No time to watch? Here’s what’s included.

Signing Up

Creating a GawkBox Creator Account is easy. First, navigate to Gawkbox.com/signup. Once there, you’ll see this:

You can choose to sign up through Twitch or YouTube for an approved creator profile. If you sign up through Twitch, you’ll need 50+ followers for an approved profile, and if you’re going through YouTube, 500+ Subscribers will do the trick. Both profiles function in the same way. If you’re streaming on Mixer or creating content on another platform, please submit a ticket with us at GawkBox.zendesk.com, and we’ll get to approving your account as soon as we can.

Your Creator Dashboard

Meet your creator dashboard. Here, you can access your Profile Link, which you’ll need to help your audience to get to your GawkBox profile where they can begin donating to you. We’ve also got a link to our helpcenter that you’re welcome to use if you have any questions.

Earnings

This tab reflects all of the donations that you’ve collected. Here, you’ll be able to see a collection of your donations. You’ll also be able to set how you’d like your profile leaderboard to appear. NOTE: These settings effect your Profile Leaderboard, which appears on your GawkBox profile, not the leaderboard widget that appears as on onscreen overlay.

Widgets

GawkBox provides two Widgets that you can use in your content: an Alerts widget, and a Leaderboard widget. Installing your Widgets is crucial to allowing your community to interact with you via GawkBox.

Don’t forget to customize your Leaderboard as well.

Remember, we’ve also got some pre-written messaging to show to your community, or post in your chat bot. Find that in your “Stream Messaging” tab.

Settings

This is where you’ll set the details for your GawkBox Profile, as well as set up your payment info. NOTE: You’ll need to set up your payment info before GawkBox can send your first payment.

Now that that’s sorted, be sure to set up your payments in your Account tab as well.

That’s it, you’re ready to start collecting donations. Post your Profile Link where your fans can see it, whether that’s on your social media channels, in the description of your videos, underneath your streams, or in your chatbot.
