HowTo: Notifications and Leaderboard

We’ve noticed a few bugs surrounding the on-stream notifications since the launch of our shiny new site. We’re working on a permanent fix, but here’s a quick workaround in the meantime.

First up — let’s make sure that you’ve got the correct links.

Do your links look like this?

There should be a numeric code at the end of that code. If there isn’t, our system won’t be able to tell that it’s your code, and it won’t show your notification. So what do we do?

Logout, then Log back in

Simple as that.

Select Notifications, then Leaderboard.

When you select Notifications, you should see a numeric value, as shown below. I’ve blurred mine out because it’s my individual code. Click on Leaderboard after Notifications, and you should get the same result.

That’s it! Pop those links into the streaming tool of your choice (OBS, XSplit, etc…) and you’re on your way to having your notifications live on your stream!

Now about those Leaderboards —

Since the update, some usernames were displaying incorrectly as emails, causing Creators to be unable to identify who was tipping them. Fear not, however, as we’ve patched this in our latest update. Usernames should now display as they were originally set by the user. Here’s what mine looks like:

Oh yeah — You can now change the name and time frame of your leaderboard as well!

That’s all for now. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates, or join our Discord channel and ask us directly!
