To celebrate, we’re taking a closer look at some of our Mixer friends throughout the month. Today, let’s take a look at InsertCoinTheater.
Insert Coin Theater is led by Tim, a variety broadcaster from Sarasota, FL. Playing games poorly while having a good time doing it, Tim and the community plunge their way through everything from shooters, to sims, to action-adventure titles and everything in between. The Arcade is the community of ICT, and it’s a place where everyone’s welcome to come and hang out and make some new friends.
We got the chance to ask Tim about how he got started as a streamer on Mixer, and what values he strives for as a community leader on Mixer.
I started doing a podcast with my buddy Jorge, which was audio only in 2015. We moved to YouTube, then Twitch, then I got bitten by the streaming bug. We made the full jump as a community to Mixer in January of 2017 and haven’t looked back since.
The core values of the stream are simple: have fun, treat people like you want to be treated, and don’t be a dick (is that okay to say? lol)
Yeah Tim, that’s okay to say.
Ultimately, ICT (InsertCoinTheater) should be a place that is like an arcade. A place you go to meet up with friends, make new friends, absorb the atmosphere and play some games.
I want people to feel safe no matter who they are and have a good time.
