Google I/O 2019 Extended Ilorin — Event Recap
The maiden edition of GDG Ilorin’s Google I/O Extended Event took place on Saturday June 15th, 2019 at the Captain Cook Event Hall, along Unity Road in Ilorin town.
Google I/O (or simply I/O) is an annual developer conference held by Google at their headquarters in Mountain View, California. I/O brings together developers from around the globe for talks, hands-on learning with Google experts, and a first look at Google’s latest developer products.
Google encouraged its GDG chapters to host Extended events because I/O Extended events help developers from around the world take part in the I/O experience.
Google I/O 2019 Extended Ilorin was attended by 122 people (96 males and 26 females) most of whom were developers.
